The United States healthcare system is in crisis. While the portion of our gross domestic product spent on healthcare exceeds 16%, we are
faced with crowded Emergency Departments, escalating, unchecked insurance premiums, and ever-increasing demands on our shrinking supply of doctors
and nurses. If this trend continues, there are estimates that Medicare and Medicaid will become insolvent, raising the burden of uninsured
over the 50% mark.
The only way to curb this trend is to enable our healthcare workers to use their resources more efficiently, reducing costs while simultaneously
increasing the supply to the American consumer. While this seems quite challenging, it has been done by many organizations across the US.
